Promote Successful Strategies in a Flattening World

This summer, Sturman began offering a seminar entitled, “Business and Technical Strategies that Make SENSE.”  Through presentations, roundtable discussions and interactive exercises, groups learn about the award-winning Sturman RITE ROAD MAKES SENSE company culture/philosophy and Digital Hydraulic Operating Systems (DHOS®) technology.  Attendees are encouraged to draw lessons that can be applied to their own business structure.

Recent Attendees made the following comments about the seminar:

When Sturman Industries moved to Colorado in 1995, all of its team members met to decide on an official company mission.  What they created still rings true in all that Sturman does.  The Sturman mission is:

“To make a positive contribution to the world through our innovative products and company culture.”

Out of that mission came the development of the Sturman Innovation way Seminars.  Recently, a major Midwest manufacturing company sent its “Innovation Group” to attend the Sturman Innovation Way “Business and Technical Strategies” seminar.  The group was comprised of managers, engineers and designers that specialize in hydraulics, and is charged with creating new revenue streams by innovating existing products or dreaming up new ones.  This group exists within a highly structured and hierarchical corporate environment and is separated geographically; the eight team members hale from three different states.

The Innovation Group was able to create a comprehensive long- and short-range planning document that fit within the hierarchy and met all of the corporation’s business metrics.  “The group whole-heartedly embraced our lessons and were able to create strategies that will improve not only their product offerings, but their core group’s and their division’s vitality,” remarked seminar instructor and founder of the Innovation Way Seminars, Carol Sturman.  “I can see that they are all dedicated to sustaining these strategies, and are enthusiastic about their vision of their future.”

Innovation Way Seminar goals include sharing creative ways to innovate, problem solve, create winning strategies and apply technology basics so that companies may come away with methods to advance their products, improve their corporate vitality, and to sustain long-term strategies, global responsibility and leadership.
